2012 Weather
This is the first year for the Combe Raleigh Weather Station, so will be quite informative as to the climate and how it differs to the old location in Ottery. It will also give a good indication as to the suitability of the sensor locations with comparison to the EGTE METAR and Dunkerswell Reports via CWOP.
January 2012
A very mild month with some significant rain on some days. Temperatures well above predicted average and very little frost. The last couple of days of the month were colder as winter weather came in for February.
The station is currently running without the 1-wire suite of sensors until we deploy them later in March or the Geiger Counter due to a fault.

Much colder in February, with a low temp of -7.8C. No snow accumulation though, just a few flakes seen to fall !! A Dry month however, with the rest of the country now in drought warning this could forsee a problematic summer if we have another few dry months.
Station is slowly being built back up with the 1-wire sensors ready for deployment and the Blitzotung being set-up too. Ceiliometer will be back sometime in the summer along with the Geiger Counter and AirQ.

A very dry month once again, with some high temperatures, way above the seasonal average however at the end of the month the temperatures dropped back with frost again ! Hosepipe bans have started in the South-east although not predicted for the south west at this time.

April was wet, very wet indeed. A large part of the month was showery rain, followed by more persistent rain periods. The well filled after 110mm of rain, so we now know the top up values for that ! Temperatures were not extreamly cold bud did dip during the month to below zero resulting in an unusual frost. By the end of the month, rain was still in control.
